Secure our Borders. So much talk about Homeland Security being number one priority, let's tighten the borders (north & south) with fences, technology, and monitors (sensors and humans). If we can spend $8 Billion a month in Iraq, we certainly can spend a fraction of that to secure our borders.
Secure our Ports. Inspections of containers coming in, US companies or US Govt contracted port management ought to be the basic starting point. Why is communist China operating our West Ports and our East Ports were being considered by a Muslim country? Something does not seem right with this equation.
Secure Monitoring vs Liberties. Find the balance between inspecting probable terrorist activities with civil liberties. Only the guilty should worry about someone knowing what books you check out from the library. Who else cares? Not me! The Patriot Act enables flexibility for law enforcement to identify the bad folks before they can do us harm.
